GABV
The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is an independent network of banks that, worldwide, operate inspired by the principles of ethical finance. Founded in 2009, today GABV comprises over 70 members operating in countries across Asia, Africa, Australia, Latin America, North America and Europe. Collectively they serve more than 60 million customers, hold up to $200 billion USD of combined assets under management, and they are supported by more than 80,000 co-workers.
GABV is a group of banks that are a trustworthy alternative to today’s financial system which accounts for the financial crisis we are experiencing. Each bank member of GABV is independent, but all share a commitment to use the money given by investors for the benefit of people and the environment. Business decisions are made, first, to give responses to essential human needs and then by considering how to meet those needs in a financially sustainable way.
Febea
FEBEA is the European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks, a non profit organisation incorporated under belgian law, created in Brussels in 2001 by Banca Etica, Crédit Coopératif (France), Caisse Solidaire du Nord Pasde- Calais (France),Crédal (Belgium), Hefboom (Belgium), TISE (Poland) and La Nef (France), for the development of ethical and solidarity based finance in Europe.
Today, FEBEA gathers together financial institutions from 15 European countries. It’s a place to exchange experiences and good practices, for the creation and development tools of and projects to support existing and emerging institutions in the field of alternative finance, as well as an advocacy platform for the sector towards the European institutions.
